Visit to Bali, Indonesia on 26-Mar-2015

Got an opportunity to see some places in Bali, Indonesia as PMI’s Asia-Pacific Region Meeting was organize in Nusa Dua near Denpasar.

Traveled from Mumbai to Denpasar Airport via Singapore. Got about 12 hours as layover time and used this opportunity to explore the Changi Airport Singapore which is one of the world’s busiest airports by international passenger and cargo traffic. It is currently rated the World’s Best Airport by Skytrax for the eighth consecutive year since 2013. In 2019, Changi served 68.3 million passengers, making it the 17th busiest airport in the world.

Roamed in the all the 5 terminals of the airport and enjoyed the leg massage which is provided in the passages as a free services. The airport is equipped with various facilities such as games, drawing, internal gardens etc. apart from lavish lounges and shops. Getting a vegetarian food was a big problem and took 2-3 hours to get a Pakistani joint with only one vegetable item on the menu i.e. vegetable biryani.

Boarded on the plane in the early morning in the Changi Airport to go to D the Ngurah Rai International Airport, Denpesar, Indonesia and reached Denpasar at 9.00 am. View of the airport from the plane was fantastic.

Took a taxi to see some places in one day and moved around in Bali from 09.00 am to till 10 pm. I could see Ullluwatu temple, Balinese temp and Tanoh Lot Temple. Enjoyed special Bali coffee. The taxi driver was very nice and courteous. Need to plan another visit to Bali to cover some places like Ubud which I could not cover in one dat.

The Ullluwatu temple is built at the edge (ulu) of a 70 meter high cliff or rock (watu) projecting into the sea. Pura Taman Ayu is a compound of Balinese temple and garden with water features located in Mengwi.  Tanoh Lot Temple means “Land [in the] Sea” is located in Tabanan.

The PMI Leadership Meeting was organized in The West In Resort, Nusa Dua, Bali. Two days of opportunity to listen to the top-notch professionals from the world and chapter management knowledge session. I also conducted one session on use of chapter website for outreach, membership and professional development.

Morning walk from the West In Resort along the beach was very refreshing and the view of the Sun rise was very very beautiful.

Fantastic tour with professional learning, visiting beautiful places in Bali and last but not the least sunrise which I cannot forget at all…!!!

Second visit is in the offing with family… !!!
