Visit to Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island on 26-Jul-2015

Visited Ellis Island and Statue of liberty with Priyanka and Sadhana on a very good bright day. Both the attractions are very famous and sort of a must visit places.

Ellis Island was the gateway for over 12 million immigrants to the U.S. as the United States’ busiest immigrant inspection station for over 60 years from 1892 until 1954.

Statue of Liberty is a colossal neoclassical sculpture on Liberty Island. The copper statue, a gift from the people of France to the people of the United States, was designed by French sculptor Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi and its metal framework was built by Gustave Eiffel. The statue was dedicated on October 28, 1886.

Statue of Liberty National Monument has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
